[1] There are several varieties of head lettuce: Iceberg or Crisp Head, Bibb, Boston or Butter Head etc. [2] I have never encountered this one; my encyclopedia says that it is grown for it's stem.

I have recently seen a broccoli/cauliflower cross labeled "Brocoflower". [It's not all that tasty.]
